Student account information
Student Accounts are updated regularly. Account balances may change as you add or drop courses, incur other charges or make payments. Up-to-date account information is available online by following directions on LORIS.
University personnel are bound by Canadian Privacy Legislation. Business Office staff cannot discuss particulars of your student accoutn with anyone unless we have received an Account Disclosure Form giving authorization. If you wish staff to discuss your account with parents or family members, please makes ure you have filled out an Account Disclosure Form. Once this form has been submitted and applied to your account, it will be valid during your entire time as a WLU student. It may take up to two business days for this consent to be applied to your student account.
If you have already filled out a form, you do not need to fill out a new one unless you wish to make any changes. This same form is also mailed out to all first year students in the first invoicing for the Fall Term. Invoices are sent out prior to the start of term and fee due dates are published in the calendar and listed online. Students can view their account balance online at any time and are responsible for ensuring they are aware of fees due, regardless of whether their invoice has been received or not. After the initial due date for each term, any additional fees incurred from course additions or changes, or other fees added to student accounts are due within 10 days of when the course addition or change is requested. Students are encouraged to check their online balance on LORIS frequently to ensure their account balances are paid on time and their account remains in good standing with the university.
