Rev. Dr. David Pfrimmer, Principal-Dean of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary WLS offers a Welcome to Waterloo Lutheran Seminary! WLS is an exciting place to begin the next chapter of your life journey. The mission of WLS is to prepare leaders to serve the church and the world.

WLS is a community of learning. WLS offers a variety of entry level and advanced degrees in the area of Theology and Spiritual Care and Counselling.

WLS is a community of service. WLS offers a Master of Divinity program for those preparing for ordained ministry in their denomination. WLS also offers a Master of Arts in Theology for people interested in studying theology for personal interest or preparing for lay ministries in their church or community organizations.

 

 

WLS is an ecumenical and multifaith community. As a Lutheran Seminary, WLS
is an inclusive community for all people of faith. Students come to WLS from
many different churches. As well, students from other faiths are studying at WLS,
particularly in our counselling programs.

WLS is a community of faith. At WLS, prayer and worship are integral to the
learning and formation for leadership. Chapel worship is a regular part of
Seminary life with special evening and weekend worship events so that
even part-time students can participate as they choose.

Most importantly WLS is a community. Our faculty and staff are committed to
helping you become all that God has called you be to be. It is a community of
faithful people committed to making a difference in God’s world. We hope
you can join us in this great adventure.

Waterloo Lutheran Seminary is fully accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and the following degree programs are approved: Master of Arts in Theology, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry.
