In
November 2007, the Office of Teaching Support Services (TSS) unveiled
Laurier's Teaching Award Hall of Fame located on the first floor of the
the Bricker Academic Building. Over 30 faculty and TAs recipients of
national, provincial and institution-wide teaching awards are honoured
there with their picture and a list of awards received for all (i.e.,
visitors and members of the Laurier community) to see. Each year, new
award recipients, including teaching and instructional assistants who
receive the Teaching Assistants Award of Excellence, will be added to
the Hall of Fame. |
On December 2, 2011, Teaching Support Services hosted a reception entitled "The Heart of Teaching at Laurier: Celebrating Excellence". This event featured a video showcase of faculty award winners, creative opportunities to explore what the heart of teaching means to members of the Laurier community, a celebration of current and past award winners, and the introduction of our Associate Vice-President: Teaching and Learning, Dr. Pat Rogers.
Photos displayed are from the reception.

We have created an online version of some of the activities from the reception. These activities are designed to inspire you to reflect about your heart of teaching at Laurier and share some of your inspiration with the broader community.
