Institutional Membership



STLHE is a national association of academics interested in the improvement of teaching and learning in higher education. Its members comprise faculty and teaching and learning resource professionals from institutions of post-secondary education across Canada and beyond. Founded in 1981, the bilingual STLHE is home to the Educational Developers Caucus and the Council of 3M National Teaching Fellows. STLHE strives to advance the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, advocate for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, achieve inclusivity in all their activities and support the formation of strategic partnerships. The Society sponsors an annual conference, an electronic bulletin board, a national awards program, and publishes a tri-annual newsletter, Green Guides, and Collected Essays on Learning and Teaching.

Membership in the Society has many benefits, including an annual conference and professional networking opportunities.


CNIE is a national organization of professionals committed to excellence in the provision of innovation in education in Canada. The Canadian Network of Innovation in Education is the voice for Canada's distance and open education communities. The Association will sustain a bilingual organization through its Board of Directors, membership and planned activities.


    EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. EDUCAUSE helps those who lead, manage, and use information resources to shape strategic decisions at every level. A comprehensive range of resources and activities is available to all interested employees at EDUCAUSE member organizations, with special opportunities open to designated member representatives.
