We've created a facebook page to help you stay informed about convocation! We'll post updates and reminders, but you should still visit the website and your email often.
Concurrent Education Students, we have also created a portal that has all the information for both Laurier and Nipissing. Click here to visit the site!
Convocation is a day of celebration with friends and family, and to ensure everyone can be accommodated there is a limit of 4 guests per graduand. However, we will accept requests for additional guests as space allows.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO GRADUATE?

- Click on 'Student Services', then 'Student Records'
- 'Granted' may appear sometime after May 1st indicating that you have been cleared to graduate. If it states 'Applied' then your application is still being processed.

GRADUATE PARTICIPATION CARD
Participation cards will NOT be mailed . An email will be sent to those that have been cleared to graduate approximately two weeks before the ceremony to confirm the degree, program granted and the date and time of the ceremony. Please arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the ceremony to pick up your participation card along with your gown in the RAC West Lobby. It is vital that you do not misplace this card once you have it in hand as it indicates your place in line and your full legal name that will be announced during the ceremony.
You may be asked to provide the correct phonetic pronunciation of your name on this participation card for use by the presenter. Please write your name phonetically on the front of your card beside your typed name. Do not blackout any names on the card, strike through only if you do not want it announced.

Parking is available in municipal lots. It is advised that graduates use the Market Street Parkade, or one of the Municipal Lots (No. 2 - Harmony Square, between Colborne and Dalhousie, No. 3 - Darling Street, between Market and Queen Street, or No. 4 - Dalhousie Street, at Dalhousie and King Street).
ACCESSIBILITY AND SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
Please contact complete the online request form to reserve accessible seating for a guest.
If you are a graduating student and have accessibility needs (eg. require a
mobility lift, have the support of a service dog, FM system, Braille or
alternate format parchment/degree, sign language interpretation, attendant
support for stage or seating navigation, etc.) for the Convocation ceremony please complete the online Accessibility Needs form.
Please indicate in as much detail as you can, your specific accommodation
need and identify the ceremony you will be participating in.

If you are an international student who has guests attending the ceremony please contact Jeanette Wilson, firstname.lastname@example.org indicating the following details:

Each graduand is required to wear a black gown for the ceremony. Pre-booking of gowns and hoods is not required. A $25 rental fee is required at the time of gown pick up at the Research & Academic Centre West Lobby.
Graduands will be hooded during the ceremony by the registrar, and should not wear it until that point.
Pick up and Drop Off Times are;
Please plan to arrive at least 1 hour in advance of the ceremony at the Research and Academic Centre where you will rent your hood and gown. From there you will proceed to the Odeon Building to join the procession. Please pass any personal belongings to your guests before you check-in at the Odeon Building and prepare for the procession.
A photographer from GradTrak Graduation Images will be taking on-stage photos of all graduates. Proofs will be sent to the graduates home address. Visit www.gradimages.com or call 1-800-424-3686 to order.
Frames may be pre-ordered or purchased day-of from the Bookstore.

UNABLE TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY?
* Please submit the online form if you are unable to attend the Brantford Campus Spring Convocation 2014. Only those students that have applied to graduate and have been cleared for the Spring 2014 ceremony may use this form.
Convocation ceremonies will be streamed live via UStream.
