The President's Innovation Seed Fund is based on two guiding principles: sustainability and sharing. From a project perspective, this means that the innovator must demonstrate how their initiative can be made sustainable on an ongoing basis, and they will be asked to share their idea and methods for success with others at the university. On the financial side, the projects will be asked to return money to the fund to ensure its sustainability and to share the net revenue gains. As a starting point, it is generally expected that the net revenues will be divided equally between the fund, the faculty/department, and the university.
Faculty, staff, students and alumni — working individually or in groups — are encouraged to submit proposals. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Innovation Seed Fund Committee.
Those with an idea or suggestion for another department are encouraged to contact that department directly or, if you are not sure who to contact, submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Committee will ensure that it gets directed to the appropriate individual(s).
