Position Posting: Instructional Assistant - HE 211 Human Physiology

An IA is required for HE 211: Human Physiology. It is a second-year course which follows Human Anatomy. The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of human physiological processes.

Duties: The IA will assist the course professor (Dr. Loretta Ritu) with marking and the lab demonstrators (Kris Dietrich and Kristen McFall) by functioning as a teaching assistant in one weekly lab. The IA will be required to attend one weekly lab preparation session.

Qualifications: A fourth-year student who has previously taken Human Physiology with a minimum grade of A minus. The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator with a passion for the topic. Since the successful candidate will be marking, attention to detail and good focus are also required.

Hours of Work: 50 hours between Jan 6 and April 30, 2014

Rate of Pay           

30 hours lab - 21.70 per hour

20 hours marking - 18.50 per hour
