Wilfrid Laurier University has appointed Jennifer Brickman as manager of Service Laurier in Brantford.
Service Laurier will allow students to access many enrolment-related services – such as ordering transcripts, picking up awards and paying bills – in one location and with greater ease. Service Laurier is funded in part by the university’s Strategic Investment Fund in 2010, a program committed to supporting the very best initiatives that support student success and improve academic and administrative operations.
“One stop enrolment services are really a best practice at post-secondary institutions,” said Laurier’s Registrar Ray Darling. “We are very excited to be implementing this program at Laurier to improve services for our students, and I am delighted to have Jennifer accept this important role.”
Brickman will begin her role April 25. She will manage the Service Laurier Implementation Coordinator, yet to be hired, and together they will oversee the creation of Service Laurier locations at both the Waterloo and Brantford campuses.
Brickman is a Laurier alumna who graduated with a BA in Economics and Financial Management in 2002. Prior to her new role, she was a supervisor of Laurier Brantford’s Bookstore, and also worked at Laurier Waterloo’s Bookstore.
“I am very much looking forward to starting a new role in a new department at the Laurier Brantford campus,” said Brickman. “With my background in customer service I am excited to help create Service Laurier as an integrated one-stop shop for all Laurier students.
“I love the community-minded Laurier Brantford campus and I hope to enjoy many successful years here!”
