Call for nominations for Laurier teaching awards

The Wilfrid Laurier University Awards for Teaching Excellence honour those who, through their commitment to teaching innovation and excellence, have made significant contributions to the educational experience of Laurier students.
Teaching Support Services invites members of the Laurier community to submit nominations for the following awards:
Award for Teaching Excellence
The Award for Teaching Excellence honours those who excel in teaching. Two recipients (one full-time faculty member and one contract academic staff member) will receive the award, which is conferred at convocation and consists of a framed certificate, a permanent notation in the university calendar, and a framed photograph in the Teaching Hall of Fame.
Nominations are due to the Faculty/School dean on Jan. 15, 2014, and to Teaching Support Services by Feb. 1, 2104.
Teaching Assistant Award of Excellence
This award recognizes the outstanding achievement of one undergraduate and one graduate teaching/instructional assistant at Laurier. Recipients will receive a framed certificate at convocation, a $500 scholarship, and a framed photograph in the Teaching Hall of Fame.
The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2014.
