Laurier appoints Antonio Araujo AVP: Campus Administration & Special Constable Services

Antonio Araujo has been appointed assistant vice-president: campus administration & Special Constable Services effective November 1. This role will support the multi-campus structure in the Finance and Administration portfolio and is aligned with recommendations from the Presidential Task Force on Multi-Campus Governance and the administrative working group recommendations.
Araujo will provide integration and coordination of the functional units within Finance and Administration on the Brantford campus. In addition, he will have direct leadership and accountability for Special Constable Services across all campuses, and will continue to be a key member of the senior leadership team on the Brantford campus.
In his role, Araujo will be the senior representative of Finance and Administration at the Brantford campus and will report to Jim Butler, vice-president: Finance and Administration.
“I am pleased to recognize Tony’s leadership and support to the Brantford campus and the university,” said Butler. “Tony will continue to oversee the expansion of the Brantford campus and will continue to take the lead on multi-campus projects within Finance and Administration.”
Araujo joined Laurier in 2008 as the director of campus operations, and has been serving as acting director of Special Constable Services since September 2012. He brings 18 years of experience in health care, including significant experience in senior management as Chief Financial Officer in both a community care access centre and hospital setting.
