Graduate students encouraged to complete survey

Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing

Mar 3/10

Masters and doctoral students at Wilfrid Laurier University and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary are encouraged to complete the Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS). This survey is currently being administered at Laurier and at other Canadian universities. Over 125,000 students from 38 institutions Canada-wide are being contacted to participate in the CGPSS.

Graduate students registered for studies in the current academic term are being invited by email to complete the survey. The survey invitation contains a unique log-in code and the external web address for accessing and completing the CGPSS.

Participation in the CGPSS is completely voluntary. Analysis of the final survey responses will be kept strictly confidential.

Results from the CGPSS will be used for identifying areas where improvements can be made in the graduate educational experience. Accordingly, we encourage all graduate students who are contacted to provide their opinion and complete the survey.

To thank students who complete the CGPSS, 20 randomly-selected survey participants will receive a $50 Bookstore gift card. The draw will take place after the survey closes April 2.

Students who have any questions on the survey are encouraged to contact the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at graduatestudies@wlu.ca, or Wally Pirker at wpirker@wlu.ca.
