Laurier MBA is changing the game

March Madness. As NCAA basketball heats up, future business leaders are getting their game on too — making the decision to go back and get that MBA. With more than 46 years of superior business education, including 15 years in Toronto’s financial district, the Laurier MBA is changing the game. On March 30, Laurier will welcome more than 80 students to its part-time Toronto program. Although enrolment is limited, there is still time to register.
At Laurier, the MBA program transforms the way students think, feel and act about the important issues confronting business and society. It’s about preparing students to become one of the leaders of tomorrow. It’s about inspiring lives.
“There’s a reason we currently have over 500 students enrolled in full and part-time MBA options at Laurier,” said Ruth Cruikshank, acting MBA director and associate professor of policy. “Laurier offers a well-rounded, holistic approach to business education. Our talented faculty group provides leading edge expertise and student-focused teaching approaches. And we offer convenient schedules that address the needs and lifestyles of aspiring business leaders.”
There are several distinct program options in addition to the general management MBA. One option is Laurier’s MBA combined with the Certified Management Accounting (CMA). It is Canada’s first fully integrated English language program leading to both an MBA degree and the CMA designation. With the highest scoring CMA students in all of Canada, Laurier boasts a 100 per cent pass rate for the designation.
The Laurier MBA co-op option is designed for high-calibre graduates of undergraduate degree programs with limited work experience who want to develop their organizational and management skills.
Laurier launched its undergraduate co-op program in business in 1976. The first program of its kind in Ontario, it is now the largest business degree co-op program in Canada.
Laurier has achieved many successes by ensuring its programming meets the highest standards in the country. Laurier has earned the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. Laurier is one of only six accredited business schools in Ontario, and one of only 19 in Canada.
As Laurier enters its second century, the university’s commitment to business education remains strong. With a recent transformational investment of $72.6 million from the Ontario government for the construction of the Global Innovation Exchange, the new home of the School of Business & Economics will strengthen Laurier’s position as a major incubator of skilled business leadership and talent.
