Distinguished philosopher Henry Shue to speak at Laurier Jan. 14

Distinguished philosopher Henry Shue, who has written extensively on ethics and climate change, will visit Laurier Monday, Jan. 14 to deliver a public lecture entitled, Subsistence Rights and Climate Mitigation.
The talk will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Paul Martin Centre on Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
Shue is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for International Studies and an Emeritus Fellow of Merton College, both at the University of Oxford.
His public lecture is presented by Laurier Professor Rhoda E. Howard-Hassmann, Canada Research Chair in International Human Rights, and the Department of Philosophy.
