Winners announced for Laurier's Waterloo campus United Way Campaign kickoff bake sale
Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing
Laurierís Waterloo campus kicked off its United Way campaign Oct. 10 with a United Way Discovery Fair, remarks by United Way and agency representatives, and a bake sale competition that offered a healthy dose of sugar mixed with Santa Claus, Larry the Turkey, hawks nests, ghouls and goblins and some purple-haired people thrown in for good measure.
In addition to raising awareness about the work of the United Way, the bake sale competition raised $2,505! Thank you to everyone who contributed.
Congratulations to the baking team from the School of Business and Economics who raised $529.50 in bake sales.
Suzanne Mulhall won the prize draw for completing her Discovery Fair Passport by visiting each of the United Way information displays, and Sandra Dalpe was the winner of the early bird draw for submitting her pledge form at the event.
