A Master of Finance (MFin) degree is designed to help you pursue a career in finance in positions that demand both extensive finance knowledge and excellent quantitative research skills. At the conclusion of this program, you値l be able to conduct expert analysis in equities, fixed incomes, derivative products, corporate finance and portfolio management.

Laurier痴 Master of Finance has been accepted into the CFA Institute University Recognition Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree program(s) incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for the CFA exams.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

Full-time studies (in Waterloo, Ontario):

Co-op Stream:The duration of the co-op program option is 20 months. You値l complete 3 terms of study covering 12 required courses, and 2 paid 4-month work terms with firms in the financial services industry.

Non-Co-op Stream:You値l complete 3 terms (12 months) of study, wherein you値l take 12 required courses.

Part-time studies (in Toronto, Ontario)*:

MFin: Designed to meet the needs for finance and investment professionals, you値l complete this program on a part-time basis over a 22-month period (6 terms) on alternating Friday evenings and Saturdays. This program requires 12 courses two of which can be waived for students who have already passed CFA level I and level II exams. Learn more.

MFin/MBA double degree: Earn your MBA and MFin over a four-year term on alternating Friday evenings and Saturdays in this fully integrated live in-class MBA/CFA with Master of Finance double degree.
