Congratulations to Ben Amoako-Adu, recipient of a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

Dec 14/12

Congrats to our very own Ben Amoako-Adu who was honoured with a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal awarded by the Governor General of Canada on December 4, 2012. Ben was recommended for the award due to his extensive community service in our region. Ben has been supporting the Anti-Bullying Drive in Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge over the years and internationally he has been rebuilding the library of the School of Business at the University of Ghana. He continues to collect used books from his colleagues and ships them at his own expense to the University in Accra. Over a period of five years, he has shipped about six barrels of business books. In 1997 Ben created the Best Graduating Student Award at the University of Ghana (his alma mater) for the best student in Undergraduate Business, Economics, and MBA Finance.
"I try to make life worth living for the underprivileged." - Ben Amoako Adu.
