Jun 21/12

Janice McGregor, a 2004 graduate from the WLU Department of Languages and Literatures (HBA German, Spanish minor) will be Visiting Assistant Professor of German at Kansas State University in Fall 2012. Her areas of specialization include German Applied Linguistics, Foreign Language Pedagogy and Study Abroad.
At Kansas State, Janice will be coordinating the German language program and teaching in the Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) MA programs

After graduating from Laurier, Janice went on to receive her MA in German from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and will receive her PhD from The Pennsylvania State University in December 2012.
Janice is very grateful to the WLU Department of Languages and Literatures and the wonderful professors there. Her experiences at WLU played a major role in her decision to continue in academia. Unforgettable WLU memories include: hanging out/studying in langlit lounge, working in the Laurier Language Centre and being in a German drama production through Alexandra's German oral expression through drama course!
