Dr. Schwieter awarded MBA and inducted into leadership honour society
As a professional goal, Dr. John W. Schwieter, associate professor of Spanish and linguistics, has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Project Management from the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium. This joint program is delivered by four institutions (UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Parkside) in the University of Wisconsin System, one of the largest and most prestigious public higher education systems in the United States and whose MBA programs historically rank among the best in their region. Their business schools and programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) representing the highest standard of achievement for business schools internationally.
During the 2.5-year program, Schwieter was invited and inducted into the College of Business’ Sigma Gamma Zeta II Honour Society for having completed the MBA with high honours and an overall average of 96%.
“Everyone should have goals—and to take on an MBA while continuing my ‘day job’ was one of mine,” says Schwieter. “I view learning as a life-long adventure in which it is always refreshing and energizing to explore new areas that help you to grow.”
