Applications for 2009 field courses will be accepted from 12 January through 13 February.
In 2009 Laurier Biology will again be participating in the Ontario Universities Program in Field Biology. The full list of modules being offered will be posted in mid-December. Laurier Biology faculty will be offering two of the modules in the program.
Dr. Mihai Costea will be teaching BI367 Field Botany Medicinal Plants in the Flora of Ontario (Module 10) during the first two weeks of May in and around Waterloo Region.
Dr. Tom Woodcock will be teaching BI391 Field Ecology of Southern Ontario (Module 12) during the last two weeks of May in and around Waterloo Region.
Students can apply to take any of the other modules as BI390 or BI392.
There is a single application process for these four courses. Descriptions of the 2009 field modules including costs and prerequisites, as well as application forms and additional information are available at the OUPFB website.
We will begin accepting applications on Monday 12 January continuing through Friday 13 February. In addition to the regular (0.5-credit) tuition fees, you will be required to pay a deposit of $250 to WLU at the time of application and the balance of the costs to the host university prior to departure.
