An Advisory in Regard to Google Chrome

The ITS department would like to advise the Laurier community to NOT install the new web browser from Google. This browser is called Chrome. Reasons for not installing Chrome include: it is an untested Beta
version not suitable for Laurier staff and faculty production computers, a security flaw has already been discovered in the product, it is not fully functional with WebCT and it has not been tested with Banner.
The ITS department will advise the Laurier community if and when this product is suitable for use on our network. Thanks
