MA170 is offered online this Fall term
Math 170 is a first-year course in introductory financial mathematics. For the first time, we are offering the online version of this course in the Fall term of 2014 (Intro to Math for Finance - 4716 - MA 170 - OC1). The lab component of the course will be conducted online using the WeBWorK system. The course can be taken by students registered on any campus.
Introduction to Mathematics for Finance
An introduction to the theory of interest. Mathematical models and their analysis for problems involving fixed interest rates. Simple and compound interest. Cash flows, annuities, amortization and sinking funds. (Zero-)coupon bonds.
Prerequisites: 12U Advanced Functions, or equivalent, or permission of the department.
