Graduate Student in Kinesiology Awarded Parkinson's Disease Foundation Scholarship

Dr. Quincy Almeida, Assistant Professor in Kinesiology & Physical Education & Director of the Movement Disorders Research & Rehabilitation Centre, is proud to announce the following:

Chad Lebold, our first transfer-in graduate student into the newKinesiology & Physical Education Graduate program (initiated September 2006), will be awarded a scholarship from the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

The scholarship is worth $1500 U.S. and will help fund the pilot work upon whichChad will base his thesis. The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) is a leading presence in Parkinson's disease research, patient education and public advocacy in the United States. The PDF is recognized internationallyfor the nearly one million people in the U.S. living with Parkinson's by funding promising scientific research and supporting people with Parkinson's, their families and caregivers through educational programs and support services.
