Laurier MSc Chemistry student, Rachael Diamond, received the top student poster award at the metals speciation symposium at the June 2011 Canadian Society of Chemistry (CSC) meeting in Montreal. The award was for her poster entitled "Fluorescence Quenching Method To Determine Divalent Metal Cation (Cu2+, Zn2+, Pb2+, Ni2+) Binding To Marine Organic Matter And Implications For Metal Bioavailability"
