Inter-Collegiate Business Competition Inter-University Round Results

The results of the preliminary Inter-University Round of the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC) were released this afternoon.  This year, 28 schools from across Canada, plus one each from Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, participated in seven events.  The top six schools in each event of the Inter-University Round qualify for the Final Round, January 11-13, 2007 at Queen's.  In addition, the top six overall schools are invited to the Debating Event. 

The trend continues upward for Team ICBC-Laurier.  We qualified for the finals in 5 events:  Business Policy, MIS, Finance, Ethics and Debating.  We tied with Concordia for third in overall qualifying, with Calgary and Simon Fraser placing first and second respectively.  You can see all the finalists at:

 I am very confident that the teams that did not place in the top six must have all been very close.  All 15 Inter-University Round team members are very bright, talented individuals and deserve our thanks and congratulations for their efforts.
