Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Teaching Award winner
This year, the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Teaching Award winner from Wilfrid Laurier University is Dr. Mercedes Rowinsky-Geurts, Faculty of Arts Associate Dean: Student Affairs & Special Projects, and Associate Professor of Spanish.
The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) is a coalition of student associations from across Ontario that represents the interests of over 145,000 professional and undergraduate, full-time and part-time university students at nine student associations across Ontario. OUSA annually presents its teaching awards to professors from each of the member campuses that have been selected by their students as examples of teaching excellence.
These awards will be given at OUSA's Partners in Higher Education Dinner on April 4, 2012 at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel. The event will feature speeches by Dr. Patrick Deane of McMaster University and Glen Murray, MPP for Toronto Centre.
