SBE prof. marks launch of new book at Rotmanís Sustainability Experts Speaker Series
As part of the Rotman School of Managementís Sustainability Experts Speaker Series, School of Business & Economics associate professor in policy and director of the Procter & Gamble Centre for Business & Sustainability, Dr. Barry Colbert, will discuss his book Reconstructing Value: Leadership Skills for a Sustainable World on Thursday, Sept. 5 from 5 p.m. Ė 6:15 p.m. at the University of Toronto.
Co-authored by Dr. Elizabeth Kurucz, assistant professor of organizational behaviour and sustainable commerce at the University of Guelph and Dr. David Wheeler, president and vice-chancellor of Cape Breton University and former dean of management at Dalhousie University, the book was released earlier this year as the first in a series of Business and Sustainability books from Rotman-UTP Publishing.
The book equips readers to respond to the risks and opportunities presented by global sustainability issues, and to reinvent new ways of doing business that enhance organizational effectiveness while also building a more sustainable world.
Colbert, Kurucz and Wheeler will be featured in an interactive panel discussion to outline the main themes of the book and to lead a generative dialogue about leadership for sustainability.
