WATERLOO — The Social Innovation Research Group (SIRG) is hosting an all-candidates debate for the federal ridings of Kitchener-Centre and Kitchener-Waterloo on September 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the main auditorium of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Social Work building at 120 Duke St. West in Kitchener.
The all-candidates meeting will be moderated by Laurier political science professor Dr. Barry Kay, an active member of the Laurier Institute for the Study of Public Opinion and Policy and one of the contributors to the Federal Election Monitor website (www.wlu.ca/lispop/fedblog).
Federal candidates representing the Conservative, Green, Liberal and NDP parties in the ridings of Kitchener-Centre and Kitchener-Waterloo have been invited to participate.
A wide-range of topics, including several pressing issues for the Kitchener-Waterloo area, will be addressed. After the candidates have had an opportunity to respond, the debate will be open to questions from the audience. The public is invited to attend, ask questions of the candidates and be involved in the discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.
