MSW Research Assistantships

Please note that the deadline for Fall 2008 applications is August 22, 2008.
Research Assistants are hired to do 65 hours of work at 20.00/hr ($1,300.00). This works out to 5 hours per week for 13 weeks. Tasks may involve library searches, article retrieval, data collection, data entry, data analysis, writing and/or tutoring.
The process of selecting research assistants includes the following steps:
Faculty members submit requests for Research Assistants, identifying specific projects and requisite skills;
The budget is reviewed by the Associate Dean, the Dean and the Program Manager.
Student applications are reviewed for specific skill sets;
The names and applications of students with the required skill sets and applicable experience are forwarded to each faculty membermaking a request;
Faculty members interview applicants and make final decisions for each position.
