Laurier launched a new research Centre for Women in Science on November 8, 2012. Chemistry professor Dr. Hind Al-Abadleh, the Associate Director of the centre, and graduate student Silvija Smith organized a team of 7 chemistry students who performed fun and safe chemistry demos for guests during the event. Three tables were setup, which were highly visited throughout the evening by intrigued attendees.
