Creative Writing Workshop offered by Alissa York
Interested in Creative Writing? Always wanted to write, but not sure how to get started?
Feb 14/13
Author Alissa York will lead a workshop in creative writing for students and members of the Laurier community.
York has published Mercy (Random House 2003); Effigy (Random House 2007 shortlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize); and more recently, Fauna (Vintage Canada 2010).
This will be an opportunity to develop your skills in writing, to get some hands-on experience and tips, and to enable you to learn more about the publishing industry in Canada.
When: Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 4:30-6:00 pm
Where: 2C2 Arts C Wing
This workshop will be limited to 12 participants.
To secure a spot, please e-mail Dr. Eleanor Ty (ety@wlu.ca) with 3-4 lines about why you are interested in participating in the workshop. You will receive a confirmation shortly after.
