Registration open for Laurier's Teaching Large Classes Forum, September 9
Faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and academic staff are invited to take part in Laurier's third-annual Teaching Large Classes Forum, taking place Friday, Sept. 9 in Bricker Academic (BA), Room 201.
Hosted by the Office of Teaching Support Services, the forum gives Laurier members an opportunity to network and discuss issues, challenges and best practices associated with teaching larger classes.
This year, the forum consists of:
- a brief presentation highlighting the latest Laurier research on student learning and multi-tasking,
- a showcase of faculty practices/approaches to teaching large(r) classes,
- a faculty panel to exchange best practices, instructional advice and lessons learned
- an optional training session on the media console and wireless microphone
