WATERLOO – Wilfrid Laurier University has reached a tentative deal for a new collective agreement with the union representing its full-time faculty members.
The agreement was reached early Friday morning after two full days of talks with a provincially appointed mediator. The deal must be ratified by the university’s Board of Governors and members of the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association (WLUFA).
“We are extremely pleased to have reached a tentative settlement,” said Max Blouw, president of Wilfrid Laurier University. “These are challenging times for universities and I would like to acknowledge the hard work that all parties contributed to reaching this agreement.”
