Progress being made in negotiations between the university and WLUSA
Bargaining teams representing Wilfrid Laurier University and the Wilfrid Laurier University Staff Association (WLUSA) have met for nine days since the start of negotiations on June 20, 2011, and progress has been made on a number of non-monetary items.
Members of the university’s negotiating team have cleared their calendars for July and are ready to return to bargaining as soon as WLUSA indicates they are ready. The university is committed to reaching an agreement that is fair and equitable, and in the best interests of the institution and its students.
WLUSA, which is a member of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (WLUSA/OSSTF District 35), represents approximately 500 staff members at the University.
