Donít miss the bake sale competition at the United Way Discovery Fair! Will it be a cookie from the Presidentís group or a brownie from one of the faculties that tantalizes your taste buds? A key part of Laurierís focus on inspiring lives of leadership and purpose is supporting the communities in which we reside. It has been a proud part of our history, and is an essential part of our future. Laurierís support takes many forms, and during the month of October each year, one of the ways we impact our communities is by supporting the United Way of Kitchener Waterloo & Area, the Brant United Way and United Way Toronto through Laurierís United Way campaign.

The impact that the United Wayís support of member agencies has on the people who use their services is profound. Many of us have benefitted from these services directly, or have friends or family members who have. This is the bigger picture that we hope people understand when they make the decision about supporting the campaign.

Laurier's Brantford campus held its campaign kick-off and baking contest October 1.

More information about the United Way Campaign and the agencies it supports will be posted to the website once the campaign begins.
