PhD, MFin & MSc Programs

Recent research grants & awards received by doctoral students

We would like to congratulate our doctoral students.

Hamid R. Faramarzi (Operations & Supply Chain Management) has been elected as the President of the Graduate Students' Association of WLU.

Joel Marcus (Management and Organizational Behaviour) submitted a successful research grant proposal to the CMA Centre for Responsible Organizations for his project titled "Strategic modes: examining the competitive or cooperative orientation of firms in Canada's wine industry".

Mardi Witzel (Management and Organizational Behaviour) submitted a successful research grant proposal to the CMA Centre for Strategic Leadership for her project titled "Corporate reputation and recruitment: the role of signaling, organization identity, fit and expectancy theory". Mardi is working with Drs. Irving, Sulsky, Bansal and Taggar. Mardi is the recipient of the 2006 President's Scholarship Award.

Ke Qui (Financial Economics) is the recipient of the Ontario Graduate Fellowship, awarded to the very highest-achieving doctoral student entering graduate studies at Laurier.
