Third Annual Relay for life another success

For the third year in a row, Laurier Brantford’ department of recreation hosted Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. And continuing the tradition, this year was another huge success. Over 245 people took to Victoria Park on a chilly October night for 12 hours of walking, celebrating and spending time with friends and family. In the end, the event raised over $28,000, bringing the total after only three years to over $85,000.
“We are very proud of all the participants this year for their dedication to Relay, and we are looking forward to next year and reaching the $100,000 milestone,” said Greg Stewart, coordinator of recreation and programs.
