We're stronger together: A message from Laurier President Max Blouw

Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing

Dec 5/12

When I joined Laurier in 2007, I said I had never before, in my years at various universities, experienced the good nature, the energy, the mutual support and the sheer engagement that characterizes Laurier. Five years on, I feel this more deeply than ever.

One only has to look at our staff and faculty fundraising campaign, Laurierís Community Campaign, to see positive proof of our communityís unique spirit. For years, hundreds of faculty and staff have complemented their professional passion for their work at Laurier with a philanthropic investment in our institution. These donations have proven vital in enriching and expanding the Laurier student experience as these generous gifts support numerous enhancements that otherwise would not be possible.

If you havenít already, I encourage you to join your fellow Laurier colleagues and make your gift today at www.wlu.ca/communitycampaign

If you have already donated to support our university and our remarkable students, then I extend to you my deepest gratitude. As a staff or faculty member, your generosity is just one of the many ways in which you are cementing Laurierís continued success.

As another year draws to a close, I am honoured to conclude 2012 by thanking each and every staff and faculty member. Thank you for the important role you play in making our university such a wonderful and vibrant place to work, study and grow.

We're Stronger Together.
