A team of undergraduate students from Laurier’s School of Business & Economics won top honours at the 35th edition of the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC) in Kingston this month. Laurier business students, Elizabeth Mcfaul and Ulana Zadarko, placed first in the marketing competition and students Keegan Castrillo and Alison Greaves were finalists in the management of information systems (MIS) competition.
“The Laurier team had a very strong showing at this highly competitive and prestigious business case competition,” said Steve Risavy, assistant professor at Laurier’s School of Business & Economics and faculty advisor for the Laurier 2012–2013 ICBC team. “The results of these two groups truly speak to the level of talent that our students have, as well as the education that they are receiving.” Many thanks to Carole Litwiller, undergraduate business program advisor and a long time ICBC supporter, as she was involved with all stages of the preparation for this competition.
