Dr. Morgan Holmes to be panel member in CBC Here and Now live event

Dr. Morgan Holmes, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology will be a panel member for a live event at the Metro Reference Library on February 12, from 7-9 pm..  This is being held in conjunction with Canada Reads and the Toronto local afternoon show Here and Now.  Canada Reads is a live CBC radio program that will be on from March 3-6, and features five Canadian celebrities each defending a different Canadian book -- the theme of this year's Canada Reads is "The Book That Can Change Canada." Dr. Holmes will be defending :  "Annabel" by Kathleen Winter, a beautiful novel about gender and identity.

The event on February 12 is part of a series of regional events across that country that celebrate and raise discussion about the Canada Reads books. The event at the library will be hosted by Here and Now host Gill Deacon, and will be recorded and broadcast on Here and Now.
