Take Our Kids to Work Day is Wednesday, Nov. 6
This year's "Take Our Kids to Work Day" is taking place Wednesday, Nov. 6.
The "Take Our Kids to Work Day" program is a day where Grade 9 students accompany a parent or guardian to work to observe his or her daily role as an employee. The student will complete a report, assigned by his or her teacher, based on the experience.
Wilfrid Laurier University supports this initiative and places the health and safety of the visiting students as a high priority.
The school boards require parents to sign a permission form, and Laurier requires the parent or guardian to sign a Release and Indemnification Form for any student participating in this initiative. The signed release form must be forwarded to the Director: Safety, Health, Environment & Risk Management (SHERM) no later than one week prior to visiting day.
