WATERLOO – Representatives from more than 40 summer camps and programs will attend Wilfrid Laurier University’s 2009 Summer Camp Fair, giving parents one-stop access to summer camp options for their children. The fair takes place Wednesday, May 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Laurier’s University Stadium.
“The fair gives parents and children a chance to meet representatives from many camps and ask questions about their programs in person,” said organizer Melissa Ireland. “We hope it will make it easier for families to choose the camp that’s right for their children.”
Programs offered by the attending camps include everything from sports and arts to science and music.
Laurier also offers its own summer children’s camps, including an archaeology camp for kids and the Golden Hawks multi-sport camp. Representatives from these camps will be in attendance.
This is the first year that Laurier has offered the fair.
