CENTRE FOR COLD REGIONS AND WATER SCIENCE:  OPEN HOUSE

You are invited to a drop-in open house and a tour of Laurier's Centre for Cold Regions and Water Science.

Officially opened on October 11, this new facility features state-of-the-art labs and equipment for Laurier's many water and cold regions researchers.

At the Centre for Cold Regions and Water Science (65 Lodge Street, Waterloo)

The Centre is home to two research facilities:
  • CALIBER (Canadian Aquatic Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Boreal Ecosystem Research), funded by the Government of the Northwest Territories, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and Wilfrid Laurier University
  • SOWC (Southern Ontario Water Consortium).  The SOWC portion of the new centre is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), and Wilfrid Laurier University.
The Centre is also home to two Laurier research centres:
  • The Cold Regions Research Centre (CRRC)
  • The Laurier Institute for Water Science (IWS)
