Financial Assistance in Sprummer
Bursary assistance for spring term is available only to students in an approved co-op program, as well as graduate students registered full time. For graduate students who applied for bursary assistance during the fall/winter 2011-2012 academic terms, no further application is required. Students are invited to apply for donor supported bursaries through their LORIS account. Applications are now available online with a deadline date of August 17, 2012 (11:59 pm).
All first year undergraduate students beginning studies in fall 2012 semester may apply for numerous entrance scholarships. Visit the Student Awards database at (www.wlu.ca/student_awards_search/), searching under year as "year1" and student status as "undergraduate". The deadline date for entrance scholarships is July 29, 2012 (11:59 pm).
For the upcoming 2012-2013 academic year, the Student Awards Office is currently developing a new student profile and needs assessment budget for all financial aid opportunities - including scholarships, award and bursaries. Full details of this new and improved application program will be available in August - watch for the email notification or visit the Student Awards website (www.wlu.ca/studentawards) for updates as they become available.
All full time undergraduate students who meet the University's required qualifications are automatically assessed for an in-course scholarship. Assessments will occur in July, and recipients will be notified by e-mail by the end of July. The review of renewals for the President Centennial Scholarships will also occur at this time. In-Course scholarship/President's Centennial Scholarship assessments for co-op students who are currently in a full course load for the spring term will occur in October.
