Brantford ICT Support Update - January 2012

Jan 26/12

ICT in Brantford has been active on campus over the past year and have completed some significant technology upgrades and installations.

In the summer, ICT supported over 150 office re-locations, including our ICT office to the Research and Academic Centre East, Room RCE110. If you haven't had a chance, please take an opportunity to visit our new location.

September marked the completion of the 97 Dalhousie building, including a full classroom setup in the lecture hall on the lower level, and the two seminar rooms upstairs. ICT also installed 5 short throw interactive projectors across campus, bringing the latest in teaching technology onsite.

The campus also added two additional computer labs; one for the Business Technology Management program in the lower level of SC Johnson, and a general purpose lab in Grand River Hall that will be open in February 2012.

Currently, there are several projects that underway. The first is the Evergreen programs that have been recently announced. This program will see all computers on campus, including offices and computer labs, be replaced every 4-5 years. Initial replacements will begin in the next couple of months for the Odeon computer lab and projectors in the classrooms.

ICT couldn't have completed these projects without significant contributions from the Campus Operations team, funding from the Student Life Levy and help from the Student Service Desk in Waterloo. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to serving you in 2012.
