Year-end giving: make sure you get [tax] credit!

The university is grateful for your support and wants to ensure that you receive the appropriate tax credit for your gift. Please follow the instructions below to ensure your donation is properly credited and receipted for the 2011 tax year.
The easiest way to ensure you receive year-end giving credit is to make a gift online at www.wlu.ca/giving. By visiting this secure site, you will also have access to our tax calculator which can aid you in determining the size of your gift. Please note that online gifts must be received by midnight on December 31, 2011, to qualify for a 2011 tax receipt.
If you are making a gift by cheque, your cheque must be dated for 2011 and the envelope must be postmarked or date-stamped no later than December 31, 2011, to be eligible for the tax credit.

If you are making your gift in person, please note that the university closes for the holiday season December 22 at 4:30 p.m., re-opening on January 3, 2012. For your convenience, in Waterloo there is a drop box located at the main entrance of Alumni Hall (to the left of the doors). In Brantford, you can drop off your donation at the Carnegie Building at Laurier Brantford.
If you are making a gift of stock, the gift must be received in our account no later than December 23, 2011, to allow sufficient time for processing (gifts of securities form).
