WATERLOO – Representatives from more than 50 summer camps and programs will attend Wilfrid Laurier University’s 2010 Summer Camp Fair, giving parents one-stop access to summer camp options for their children. The fair takes place Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Laurier’s University Stadium.
“The fair gives parents and children a chance to meet representatives from many camps and ask questions about their programs in person,” said organizer Rebecca Kieswetter. “We hope it will make it easier for families to choose the camp that’s right for their children.”
Camps will include both day and overnight programs, ranging from sports and arts to science and music.
Laurier also offers its own summer children’s camps, including an archaeology camp for kids, a number of sports camps and a new science camp. Representatives from the Laurier camps will be in attendance.
There is no cost for admission or parking. For further information and to view the complete list of camps, visit www.wlu.ca/campfair or contact Rebecca Kieswetter at 519-884-0710 ext. 3902.
