Search commences for Senior Executive Officer for Laurierís Brantford campus

The search has commenced for a Senior Executive Officer for Wilfrid Laurier Universityís Brantford campus, with an anticipated start date of July 2013. This position will replace the Acting Vice-President and Principal of the Brantford campus, Lesley Cooper, whose term will end June 30, 2013.
The Senior Executive Officer will report to Laurierís President and Vice-Chancellor Max Blouw and will represent his office at the Brantford campus. The role has two core functions: to create opportunities and strategies that advance Laurierís academic mission, and to build strong relationships with the Brantford campusí partners and stakeholders. The incumbent will be a bridge between the university and the City of Brantford, the communities of the surrounding region, and aboriginal communities including Six Nations and Mississauga of the New Credit.
Additionally, the incumbent will support academic and administrative leaders on the Brantford campus and help strengthen the connection with their colleagues on other campuses, support Laurierís vibrant partnerships with other post-secondary institutions, and seek new avenues to grow and advance Laurierís innovative model of academic excellence.
