As Laurier Chair in Enterprise Integration and Technology Management, Hamid Noori is researching the dispersed manufacturing network (DMN) being created in Pearl River Delta in southern China. The region hosts a largely light manufacturing sector that individually would seem uncompetitive in a global market. However, with appropriate technological and networking structure, Noori thinks these companies will be able to compete with multinational corporations.
