The Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) program is an intensive, one year graduate program that prepares students for the challenging international policy environment where policy makers must balance competing domestic priorities with rapidly-changing international dynamics.

One of the three programs affiliated with the Balsillie School of International Affairs, the MIPP program provides students with a unique and unparalleled graduate experience. Key features include an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum, small classes and a team-teaching approach.  Four policy fields are offered: international economic relations, human security, international environmental policy and global governance.

Our students have gone on to successful and diverse careers in Canada and abroad, including positions with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Department of National Defence, World Vision, Transparency International, and the Public Policy Forum.

Transferable skills acquired through the program were essential to landing an internship and to making the transition from intern to full time employee.  I was fortunate to be a part of a very close-knit MIPP class, and have kept in touch with classmates, staff and mentors through social media while overseas..."
