    Laurier Library

The Laurier Library of the 21st century is the intellectual and cultural heart of Laurier, bringing together resources, research and scholarly publishing and an experiential place for community, creative expression and making.

We are home to the award-winning Robert Langen Art Gallery; to WLU Press, a leading Canadian scholarly publisher; and to a thriving program of author events, film screenings, concerts and workshops.

We also house the Laurier Archives, keeper of the university’s historical record and legacy as well as leading collections on the environment, music, and the Lutheran Church.

We are home to the Library Makerspace, where you can create, craft, and invent as far as your imagination can take you.  You'll also find podcasting studios at the library in Waterloo and at the Brantford campus, where you can create stories to share with the world.

And, of course, we continue to provide the digital resources, books, instruction sessions and study spaces that inspire our users to achieve excellence in their research, work and lives.

One Heart, One Mind, One Vision

Ojibwe artist Mike Cywink’s woodland-style mural, "One Heart, One Mind, One Vision," stands 40 feet high on the southwest wall of Laurier’s Waterloo campus library.

The mural serves as a reminder of the enduring strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples and an invitation for all of us to engage in meaningful dialogue and understanding.
